My name is Carly and I live in Melbourne, Australia with my South African husband and our young daughter. I’m pretty chuffed to be living on this planet, and even happier I have the means to explore and learn about it. I love to travel but these days tend to voyage vicariously – eating exotic food I can’t pronounce, watching foreign films, reading books about places I’ll never visit, surrounding myself with garb I’ve accumulated abroad and living in one of my country’s most multicultural suburbs.
By day, I manage communications for an environmental NGO and do my best to get inside of the head of the average consumer/voter/activist/person, and influence how they consume/vote/act/think. That I do when I’m not hanging out with my beautiful daughter, feeding her exotic food I can’t pronounce, and informing her of the wonders of the universe.
My blog is a celebration of all that’s diverse in the world, and all that’s similar. It’s here for contemplation, education and hopefully, for stimulating a tad more compassion. Enjoy.
