Kiva: Kiva is an amazing initiative using technology and people’s preference for the personal to connect those wanting to make a difference with those needing a hand to escape poverty. For a tiny sum you can lend someone money to help them start their own business. Find a project that inspires you!
Asylum Seeker Resource Centre: This Melbourne-based charity does everything humanly possible to support people seeking asylum in Australia and help them navigate through the serious challenges and hardships so many of them face. Volunteer for ASRC, get a cleaner from them, order their catering, give them money… they are amazing.
